Located on the northern-most edge of the University District and Clintonville on the lovely Glen Echo Ravine, Glen Echo South is a neighborhood of homes built as a “Streetcar Community” between 1910 and 1930.

Many of the homes have Arts & Crafts styling with front porches and tile fireplaces. All seem to retain their early 20th century charm and friendliness.

A few years ago, six blocks in the northeast corner of the area were placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Glen Echo Park is nestled down in Glen Echo Ravine and offers a pleasant meander through lovely wooded hillsides and intriguing slate cliffs.

Old North Columbus business area, along High Street between Hudson and Dodridge streets, was established in the 1880s and now offers charming shops and small restaurants.
